Wi-Fi Mac adress stuck at 02:00:00:00:00:00

Hello everyone,

For a few days now, i can't activate le wi-fi on my BlackBerry Priv. When I go in the option to activate the wi-fi, it keeps loading and it show no wi-fi in the list. After a few research, i've discover that the MAC address for the Wi-fi is stuck at 02:00:00:00:00:00.

Here is a liste of what i've tried to solve the problem (with no sucess):

1- Reboot the phone a few (lots of) time

2- Pull the sim card out, no wi-fi

3- Replace the sim card

4- Let the battery drain until the phone shut-off and charging it again

Hope someone will be able to help me , cause i kind of like this phone :(

Hi Stephane,

Can I ask if the phone was purchased second hand? Also, is the phone Rooted?

If so I would recommend wiping the phone fully, if that doesn't work is flash the firmware back onto the device.

It seems that the MacAdress is either Spoofed on a software level or someone has tampered with the phone's root files...

thanks for the quick reply !

I've purchase the phone second hand directly fron my provider and it as not been rooted. So I think the next step before heading to the repair shop is to do a factory reset.

Hi Stephane, were you able to solved it? I have a One Plus 2 phone with Android 6.0.1 and weeks ago just happened that to me and I do not know how to fix if.

Hi guys my priv is the same. Just shows loading but cant switch on the wifi and this problem drains battery so fast bcuz loading continues all the time
