Replaced my battery and now phone wont turn on

Hi, I recently performed a do-it-yourself iPhone battery replacement. After following all of the instructions and installing the new battery, I attempted to turn on the phone. Now while connected to a power source, all I get is a looping white screen with black Apple logo. When it is not connected to the power source, it is just a black screen. Is this a case where I messed up my phone or is it as simple as improper connections somewhere?

Thanks

I have experienced this issue with several devices that I have repaired. In those cases, it is almost always a bad battery. EVEN IF ITS NEW. If your old battery would turn on the phone, you should attempt to put it back in and power on your device. If it did not, then I hate to say it, but you may just want to send that one back and order another to attempt fix. If the old battery DID turn it on before and DOES NOT now, then you more than likely fried a connection somehow. If this is the case, the device would most likely be repairable.

I would also urge you to use a static mat or anti static gloves in the future during your repairs if you do not already.
