Mac Pro 2013 SSD to MacBook Air 2015?

Last year I upgraded my Mac Pro 2013 SSD to 1TB, I still have the original 256 GB SSD available.

Now I'm replacing my old MacBook Air 2011 with the 2015 model (the last one till now)

My question is if the SSD I got from the Mac Pro will be compatible with the Air.

If so I can buy the 128 GB version and replacing the 128 GB SSD by the one came from Mac Pro sparing me a lot of euros.

Will it work OK?

Both are PCIe 2.0 x4 so they should be interchangeable.

I suspected but I was unsure. Tks a lot!

But still I have a doubt, the SSD from the MacPro 2013 has an aluminum cover acting as a cooler, I'm unsure this will be a problem to fit the SSD physically en the Air.

Anybody knows?

The cooler comes off (glued).

I suspect the only reason it is on there is Apple assumed the more powerful Mac Pro system would be pushing the SSD to the heat limit. We have a few which don't have the cooler.
