I bought an XRT500 remote for my Vizio E60-C3. When I press the keyboard on the back, it lights up, but the TV does react. The front facing TV buttons work fine, but not the keyboard. Any ideas?
Make sure the batteries you are using are fresh or fully charged. They should measure 1.5 volts each on your volt meter. Other than that, and I hate to say this because it is not what this forum is about, but I see them advertised from between 8 and 15 bucks. You might also try cleaning the emitter lens with some rubbing alcohol, but again, you might just try another remote given the cost is so low. If another remote, with fresh batteries, does the same thing, then you will know the problem is in your set.
