Unable to load data

My Gear fit recently began displaying the message Unable to load data Tap to retry, none of the c0nnected apps seem to synch or be able to show the current data. However the data from my Gear fit 2 does synch back to Samsung S7, it just does not display on the fit. I've tried synching, rebooting both devices but nothing seems to get the Gear Fit to display any data. Only thing that shows is the Watch face. I also get messages about sleep and meeting task goals but those do not open either to show the actual results/values.

I'm having the same issue. I'm about to start troubleshooting it! Wish me luck if I find a solution I will post it here and if you find something else that could be done plz let me know.

Same problem here with a brand new watch bought 2 days ago. No issues connecting to to Gear app or S Health, and I applied all updates. I updated before I noticed the problem, so not sure if problem existed out of the box.

I get 'Unable to load data Tap to retry' on every widget. Tapping causes the screen to go black, and the message reappears later. Most apps also won't open, and immediately return me to the apps screen.

Go to your samsung gear app on your phone and find updates.....perform those and it should work. I was having the same issue and now it's working!

Yes is the phone app the one causing widgets to fail. You can test the watch without connecting it to the phone if you want. Just go to connections and connect to your wifi. Then go to settings/Gear info/ and update anything ypu want on the watch or reset it just to make sure everything is OK on its side. You will see everything works and is the cell app the one that requires an update. Ohhh and by the way I tried to update the app and its saying that my old Galaxy S5 ain't compatible with the upgrade (and it was working fine before the new upgrade came out) so I will see what else I can do or maybe just buy a new Galaxy S(whatever) cause my other cell isn't fully compatible with this watch.

I was getting this error, and looks like an incomplete system update was the cause. Going into the Gear app and Settings: About Gear: Update Gear Software resolved it for me.

I had this issue right after receiving the watch. I had to disconnect it from my phone and reconnect it even with all updated.

I was having this issue and I just resolved it. I think out of the box I didn't know what to look for during the update, so I may have canceled it early. When you do the update, your watch will say 100% and look like it's done, but give it a few more minutes, then you'll see the install part of the update begin. All in all it takes about 5 minutes. Hope this helps people.

I had the same problem, got a message "unable to load data", tried numerous things to clear up problem with no effect. Later in the day, I updated the Samsung Health software on my cell phone and it cleared up the problem.

Still can't get weather to work on mine, still stuck on "unable to load data" tried all of the above still same. Gettin fed up of this now!
