The HD finally died on my original 20 GB click wheel iPod. I was going to replace the HD with a CF card and ordered the appropriate card, or so I thought. My cable does not look like any I have seen on the repair videos.My cable The cable has 44 pins

I think you ordered the wrong one. Get a different one or request a refund. I think you need one with a ZIF connector.

Thanks, that is what I ordered the first time...i think it might be this 1.8" IDE to CF
