Wrong colours from DVD Disc's .
DVD loads, but picture quality has a pink cast over everything.
@frizbee ,Frances, Usually this would be caused by either not having the cables connected properly, or a bad cable, recheck your hook up and or try another set of cables. A pink picture often means the cable is either not inserted all the way, or possibly a bad cable.
One other possibility, the set up on either the TV or DVD is incorrect. Your sending one type of picture, and the TV is expecting something different and may not accept that format, try different disc with compatible format. Check the settings on your TV for right component. Also if you have never done so, run a DVD lazer cleaner through the DVD to clean the lazer, they can be bought at most electronics or big box stores as seen in the second link below also a forum talks of your issue in the first link. Good luck.
I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Hi,
What is the model number of the player?
What connection type are you using between the DVD player and the TV, HDMI, Component video (Red/Blue/Green - Red/White) composite video (Yellow/Red/White) etc.?
Have you tried using a different input or input type on the TV?
Have you tried a different DVD disc?
Does the TV have a 'normal' picture when viewing from a different signal source e.g. antenna or a 'box' of some type?

The old LG Blu Ray did not work with my LG smart TV. It was magenta so I hooked it back to my old VIZIO and sure enough that worked no issue. I think the old Blu Ray is simply outdated. And to be honest, who buys dvd anymore… I just wanted to get it to work so I can watch an old classic movie that is not available on streaming.
