hi
my friends iPhone 5 is completely dead. it was dropped and all the display ribbons are broken and the whole screen assembly has separated from the mainboard and i need all the data off it. powering on does nothing no sound or vibrate. any ideas?

Then bring it to someone that offers 'data recovery's there's no magic way or software to get the data out without a working screen.

Did you not take back up with i cloud. Try repairing the screen first you will get to know the extent of damage later on.
