苹果官方于2015年9月25日正式发售iPhone6S A1688/A1633机型。 此机型的修理方式与先前几代差不多, 需要螺丝起子及撬棍工具。 同时也适用GSM or CDMA/16, 64 or 128 GB/ 银色, 金色, 深空灰色, 玫瑰金色等机型。

Can it be saved?

I was out yesterday and accidentally dropped my poor iphone 6s in the toilet, being in a dumb drunk state I continued using it, after maybe only 15 hours it has now went into recovery mode. It's currently laying in rice and silica gels. I plan to take it apart and dry it that way in a moment, please give me good news and tell me it can be saved

Please take it out of the rice asap...it will not help your phone and only make things worse.

The water is inside the phone, on the logic board and under the shields, even under the IC's. The rice is nowhere near where the water is. So while it may soak up some water vapour, the real problem is the corrosion that is taking place as the water evaporates. Powering on the phone accelerates the process. The longer you let a phone sit in rice, the more time you are giving corrosion to damage your logic board. The saltier or harder the water is, the more damage will occur.

On some phones, rice treatments appear to work. But those are phones that had minimal water ingress and not anywhere near a danger area on the logic board. They would have recovered regardless of the intervention.

Here's what you need to do if you can't bring it to a professional:

  • Open your phone and remove the logic board
  • Inspect the logic board, especially around the connectors and look for corrosion.
  • Inspect both sides of the board. Unfortunately, 80% of the board is covered in shields. That's usually where the damage is occurring.
  • Put your board in a container with >90% isopropyl alcohol and let it sit for a while.
  • Use a soft brush, like a toothbrush and lightly brush away any corrosion you see.
  • Rinse in alcohol and repeat.
  • Let it air dry for a day.
  • You should also consider getting a new battery as it may have been damaged by water. Li-ion failures are dangerous.
  • Re-assemble and hope for the best.

A professional repair shop that does water damage repair may be able to recover your phone or the data because they have access to pro-level ultrasonic baths and specialized cleaners as well as the skills to troubleshoot your board.

it hasn't been fully submerged, nor did the screen have any signs of water damage, what you're saying is I can't fix it myself?

I gave you step by step instructions on what to do yourself. If that doesn't work, then you need to take it to a professional.

I tried turning it on one more time and after rebooting itself it's now on and working, I'm afraid to crack it open now, before I had nothing to lose, to me this is good, only other problem with it is the sleep wake button works but it won't let me put it to sleep

The 6S doesnt like water and really causes problems in this model however also can be quite resilient to brief water contact due to the glue seal all around the screen. If you have not opened a 6S up before & not used to iPhone repairs I suggest you dont try, 6s has a glue seal all around the screen so you may crack the screen upon removal. Leave it to a expert but needs opening ASAP. The longer you leave it the less chance of suvival due to corrotion forming. May not be that wet inside but need checking and do not charge it. Also they are prone to blowing circuit board parts once wet which is specialist repair. Minho gave a great breakdown on what to do.
