How can I change wifi adapter

Hi,

You either have a loose antenna connection on the WLAN card (see picture p.32 in the manual) or a broken antenna cable between the WLAN card in the base of the laptop and the WiFi transceivers which are found above the LCD screen in the lid of the laptop, (see picture p.6 in the manual Item #5).

It will help you to dis-assemble the laptop so that you can gain access to the WLAN card (where the antennae plug into) and also to the WiFi transceivers in the lid.

Be sure to follow the necessary pre-requisite steps before the procedure to remove any part in the laptop.

It may be prudent to check that the antennae are correctly plugged into the WLAN card first. (see p.31-32)

If the antennae cable(s) is fractured (especially where it passes through the hinge area of the laptop) here is the replacement part number, 776770-001. If you search online using just the number only, you will get results for suppliers of the part. Here is a link to just one supplier. It is not a recommendation to use them, it is shown to give an idea of the cost of the part. There are other suppliers that may suit you better.
