do I need adhesive strips after battery replacement? diy?
I will replace my dad's battery for 5s. Do I need to have adhesive strips for the battery? if so, how do you make it at home without buying?

You will need it for a proper repair. Otherwise the battery will slide around in the casing, which is a potential fire risk, just look at Samsung.
If you don't plan to take the battery off again, use double-sided tape.

@tomchai can you use glue or something? if not, how do you make double sided tape if u don't have any.

When you order the battery, add the battery adhesive to your oder.
I already have the battery not the strips
Go buy some double sided tapes then. You don't do repairs if you don't have this don't have that don't have anything.
