image flicker from broken cable

I have an MacBook air 13" and the screen is flickering when I move the lid. I can find a position in which the image works fine, but when I move the screen the colors shift or the screen shows stripes or goes grey all together. I assume that the cause is a broken cable. How hard is it to repairs it myself and where can I get the parts?
