I was having the same problem till I reset my phone (right now), now I get notifications, but I'm still having the problem of multiple threads generating with the same contact # .....very annoying.
Try resetting the phone, hopefully that helps!

Go into your text settings my mother in law was having this problem and it was because the text notifications were off. If you have any wuestions let me know

I am having a similar problem except that all of my notifications are either on at the same time or not at all. So when I get either an update an email or message I get the same notification. I can't separate them out the way my boyfriend can with his phone. Any ideas? My phone says "text message" all day long and I hardly ever get texts. I don't care when I get an update or an email. I just want to be notified when I get a text message.
