Why my iPod is locked with not code enter option

I just buy a ipod touch in ebay, but the screen is locked and theres not option to enter the secret code, and the screen display "ipod is disabled" connect to iTune. but when i connecte the ipod a message in my computer pops up saying "iTune can not connect the ipod because is lock, please enter the code in the ipod and try again. but not option in the ipod screen.

Pleases if any body can help me with this, thanksss..

Someone set a PIN code lock on the device; it's possible to use iTunes to "restore" the latest software to the device, which will reset all settings (including the PIN code). Apple has some documentation about that here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212

If you have trouble restoring with iTunes, the easiest way to do that is:

Unplug the iPod from the computer, then hold the top button down for 5 seconds and slide across the screen to turn off
Hold down the home button below the screen
Plug the iPod back into your computer, continue to hold the Home button
When you see the iTunes logo on the iPod, let go of the Home button.
Run iTunes, and follow the prompts to restore software to the iPod.
