Hi!
I slept yesterday with my iphone 5 beside me, and when I woke up, the screen was already black, eventually, it already turned off. I was trying to turn it on but it wasn't working. I charged it but the battery is overheating. What do you think is the problem and how I'm going to fix it. I seriously need a help please :(

Does voice control or Siri work? If they do, I suggest wait for the battery to reach 0%, and then charge it. I had this issue once, and that method work.

I disabled Siri and I think voice control is not working. The bat's already drained. I already charged it but still, it isn't working.

Hey A M! Sorry to hear about your problem, but i am thinking that your LCD went out. From what i understand, you said the screen just turned black then eventually it just turned off. It doesnt really make sense that you just slept on it and the LCD went out but if you take it to a repair shop, they can test a new LCD and see if it starts working. As far as it getting hot, it might just need to chill out for a minute. Let it off the charger for a couple hours or so, then when it cools down, try to make sure it at least has some charge. Then take it to your nearest repair shop and let them know what happened and that you think the LCD might have gone out. They dont have to do too much work to test that. to me that really seems like thats all it could be. If that doesnt work, you can send it into apple and have them take a look. Or i even do repairs through eBay, if you would be interested in that. My success rate is pretty high, and if your in the U.S, turn around time is great.

Where exactly does it feel hot? Left side of phone? Right under back camera?
Have you tried another charger and cable?
If yes, either take it to a phone shop to get it looked at, tested and repaired or Try another battery first then charger port.

If it's hot right under the rear camera then don't worry about the battery and charger port as this is actually a bigger issue with the power management on the logic board. This is a board level issue so I recommend taking it to a professional that does board level repairs on iPhone 5.
What I meant by trying another battery is to try a replacement battery in the phone and for charger port I meant the charging dock assembly which is basically the charging port assembly inside the phone, but those parts are most likely not at fault anyway now since you've said it heats up at that specific spot.
