Why phone switches off

Every time the phone is taken outside to just a few degrees colder it is switching off and only restarts after power button is beeing pressed for a long time. For example ,today ,outside are about 15 degrees, and the phone was on a table beside opened door, and after 15 min phoneswitched off. And is the same every time, since new
