I can't take any pictures
The camera does not react to me pressing the capture button. Also, the capture button on my camera isn't as tactile anymore.

The capture button seems to be faulty. You need to follow the replacement guide to replace the Capture/Flash Control board. Refer to Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W830 Troubleshooting to replace the unit.
