MacBook Pro won't turn on after attempted cleaning following spill.

I recently had a terrible spill (entire chai latte directly onto the keyboard) that caused the MacBook to immediately shut off. After disconnecting the battery and letting dry for 48 hours, I turned it on very briefly and it seemed to be working except that the keyboard was a mess. from what I found online, it seemed likely that there would be further problems in the future if I didn't clean out the laptop, since the drink contained milk, sugar, etc.

Anyway, I cleaned everything, including the logic board, using distilled water and 91% isopropyl alcohol. After I reassembled it, it won't turn on. The light on the power cord was orange and eventually turned green, but otherwise it's totally unresponsive.

Is there any connection or anything I should check, to see if that is the problem? Does this mean I probably just fried the logic board in the attempted cleaning process? Is there anything I can do to diagnose/fix it, or is it time to give up and hit the Apple Store?

Update (02/06/2017)

Weirdly enough, the laptop started up normally the following day - I still don't know why it wouldn't turn on at first. Other than a few minor glitches it ran fairly smoothly.

The Powerbutton ist connected over the keyboard. It is possible that the power button that is defective. Plug in a new keyboard an test it. Or remove the power button bracket. Remove the foil an try to connect the outside an the middle. But this quite hard. If you plug a new keyboard to the mac you can be hundred percent sure.
