How can I disconnect the fridge compartment of my water cooler?

I have a used Akira water cooler with a fridge compartment. The fridge compartment leaks rusty water and I do not use it anyway. How can I tell which wires to disconnect so that the water cooler works, but the fridge compartment does not get cooled?
