We have a mic on roidmi 2s, but we'd like to solder a 3.5 jack socket instead microphone. Just for extension

I may be wrong, but I'm afraid you do not have a microphone. Should be at the top. Next to the usb socket. Do you have a small hole in the cover?

yes, you are right, it should be close to the front part and behind the holes, can you provide clear and zoom in picutre of what is around USB connector and at the back, also look care fully inside usb connector, show us the back of the cover you removed

Could you please describe step by step, very detailed, how you disassembled this device?

Pictures are cool but they actually don't show us how to start and not damage roidmi

It is Roidmi 2s. You are confused because the images you are looking at are of the internal parts. I have created 3 videos for you guys, showing its outer shell along with internal parts. These videos should give you a really good idea on how it is assembled and how to disassemble it.

In my experience, I do not think that you can disassemble it witout doing any harm to its outer shell. As you can see in the video I did manage to open it but there is quite a bit of damage to the front cover but I am ok with it because it does not affect its functionality in any way and I can stick it back with some super glue.

I have moved on from modifying the Roidme 2s and installed a music system in my car with performs way better. It was a mission as my car is a bit unique but I did it at last.

Hi, if there is no pressure/humidity sensor in this device the microphone is located on the rear side of the front PCB, where the USB sockets are soldered (see IMG_3697.JPG). Maybe it is possible to desolder it, solder copper wires to the board and either connect a new microphone to it or the original one just to put it in a better position.
