Is the keyboard built into the top piece along with the touchpad
Is the keyboard built into the whole top piece with touch pad or is it a separate keyboard by itself? I need to replace the keyboard.

On p.104 ( http://www.manualslib.com/manual/440339/...) of the manual it shows the removal of the keyboard. It is separate from the palm rest and touchpad.
Here is a link (from the same manual) which gives the part number for the keyboard.

I suggest that you start from p.100 which shows the pre-requisites necessary for removing the keyboard. Also take note of the warning regarding possible damage to the keyboard during the removal process.
