Hi!
Mine LG G2 has a very strange backlight issue. The backlight is working on low brightness levels, but turns off after 40% of brightness. Under very bright light I still can see that the image is still present on the display, so the screen is working itself. When I change brightness level back under 40%, the backlight turns on again.
What could be faulty? Screen or motherboard?
Did you ever solve the problem?
Was it the original screen?

The screen was original. The issue has gone after motherboard replacement.
Excellent, thanks for the quick response. I've just picked up another g2 with a broken screen (cheaper than buying another mobo).
That's a real weird fault though. Did you contact LG support?
My G2 suffers from the exact same, 40% then the backlight goes.
It's useable at 40%, but that's not the point.
Simon, the warranty of my phone was over long time ago, therefore I didn't contact support. However I still own that faulty motherboard and it's interesting to know what exactly the reason is.
