My display screen "Encryption unsuccessful" and it is telling me to p

My screen is telling me to perform a factory reset and when I try to do a factory reset it doesn't proceed with a factory reset that same screen continues to show up then I get a screen that says Android system recovery 3 and then it has me choose Reboot system now apply update from ADB wipe data/factory reset wipe cache partition apply update from SD card apply update from Cache and then md5 check I've tried all of those and nothing gets me past this screen is there a way to hard reboot my phone
