Volume Full/Max Or Off, No Inbetween

I dropped my 2DS a few weeks ago. After following the instructions on this site I was able to put the slider back on to the inner volume finger. However, now I am noticing that I don't have much control over the volume. I can have it off (sliding it right to the bottom) or on full (where the slider is anywhere from just a little above the bottom all the way to the top). How can I get my volume fidelity back?
