On my relatively new Asus tablet,(I got it on the first of April), the screen keeps flickering to Gray with different coloured bars across it. I've reset this tablet, so I know that it's not a virus. The screen seems to flick randomly, not just when I move it or connect it to my charger. It does flick when I put in my headphones and connect the keyboard. Why is this happening, what type of problem is this and how can I fix it?

why would they say they are number in quality if they have issues like this.

I have had the same question in my mind. They could not fix the flickering display problem. Their service centers are also not trained for taking care of this.

Sounds like a damaged LCD flex or even damage to the actual LCD itself. Electrical interference would occur when connecting anything to it which might cause a flicker to a damaged flex or LCD. If it hasn't been dropped, this malfunction should be covered by your warranty

It looks quite involved but there don't seem to be any tricky steps. The most difficult part about a repair like this is staying organised. I usually put every single screw or part in a line or 2 in order as I take them out and work backwards to put it back together

Or you may find one cheaper elsewhere or more local to you. The digitiser and LCD look like they can be separated easily so you shouldn't have to worry about buying a complete front assembly
