Why is the device cooking unevenly?
The device is cooking the food unevenly. I think the heat is not being distributed evenly throughout the cooking surfaces.

If your cooking surfaces are not heating unevenly your plates may have begun to peel. If this is the case they must be removed and are are in need of replacing. Your cooking surfaces and heating coils may also be out of alignment and need to be realigned, this guide will take you through the steps to do so. Additionally, you may need to just make sure that the cooking surfaces are held in place by both of the metal clips on either side of the plate.
