Problems after Replacing PSU

I ordered a PSU replacement from ifixit for my 2011 iMac. I installed the part, and turned on the computer. Initially, there were a few reboots before booting into the OS, but the machine worked for a few minutes.

Now, when it doesn't go into a reboot cycle, and the OS loads, the machine often shuts down - like someone yanked the power cord - after a few minutes of use.

The only thing different is the PSU. Would these issues be caused by a faulty replacement?

I replaced the PSU from iFixIt with the original. I'm still getting the "buzzing" but the machine works with it - so I guess the "new" PSU is the problem.
