Touchscreen was hyperextended. Can this be repaired or replaced?

So my 70d was inadvertently knocked over yesterday at a wedding rehearsal. The flip out touch screen was open and, as it fell, it hit the grass first. The screen still works and functions, but now it has been hyperextended such that it won't return to the home position when swiveled around and relocated against the camera body. I will probably pursue having it professionally repaired but I wanted to at least ask 2 questions:

1. Has anyone ever had this happen and then possibly repaired it themselves?

2. Whom do you recommend for repairs like this?

Thank you for your time.

Hello Chris,

There's a video on YouTube (if you haven't already seen it) that gives you instructions for a teardown, with the specific purpose of replacing the Canon 70D LCD Assembly. {I got mine for about $120 shipped on aliexpress}

Here's the link:

https://youtu.be/N4jD6_6R_r8

You will need an electrical socket set (or eyeglass socket set) because the screws are "super duper"<-- technical term-->small. You don't have to worry about losing them because you already have them in the new assembly piece.

Takes roughly an hour. Well worth it though!

Let us know your success!

Good vid, but the guy must be a pro working that fast.

Actually, if you are motivated to do it, take your time, and keep track of the pieces to go in reverse, it's super easy. Obviously though, if you're scared to mess with your camera's internal parts, you should get someone to do it who does stuff like this.
