Even after powering the chromebook down when the screen comes back on it comes up with a pink screen with the word "insert" on it. Is there a way to powerwash it if we can't get to a google screen? Or does anyone have a suggestion why it might be coming up on this particular screen?

I don't have any knowledge of this chromebook model but I suggest you look here before giving up and spending money to have it fixed or shipped somewhere for repair...
