Samsung Galaxy Note 8 GT -N5100 Tablet wont come on completely

my tablet started cutting off and coming on when \ever it feels like, it also started to loose service at times....then all of a sudden it wont come on straight. all i see on the screen is the samsung sign blinking and thats it... what can i do ? is this bad or can this be fixed ? does this means i lost all my data ?
