tablet will not charge or work

Hi,

First try resetting your tablet.

To reset the tablet:

Hold both the volume up button and the power button until the RCA logo appears on the screen. When the screen changes to the Android bot on his back, press and hold the power button and then press volume up once more. At this point, the Android System Recovery screen appears, with a list of options. Use the volume up and down buttons to navigate the menu and make selections accordingly.

To reset the device, scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press the power button. Confirm the selection by scrolling down through several "no" entries until the word "yes" is visible. Highlight "yes" and press the power button. The process takes between 1 and 10 minutes, but once it finishes, it powers up again and shows the "Welcome" screen.

Be aware that a reset, if successful, will erase all your downloaded apps and user data. It will restore your tablet to a factory default condition. It will be like when you first bought it.

If the tablet does not respond and therefore you cannot perform a hard reset and since you have had the tablet for only a short while, I suggest that you verify that the warranty period of your tablet is still valid. If so, then you should check the warranty statement found in the user guide that came with your tablet, as to what the procedure is to make a warranty claim for repair or replacement of your tablet. If you cannot find the user guide, go to the manufacturer's website and search for 'warranty' to obtain the information.
