I just installed the new screen on my iPhone 4S.

I followed the instructions perfectly and was very careful.

After installing the screen everything worked ok except the lower bottom of the screen is unresponsive to gestures.

It is a small part of the screen but it is very frustrating (I can't open the slide up menu, access the numbers on the keyboard, etc)

Is it possible I caused this or is it most likely the digitizer's fault ?

I think is faulty part you have installed. If you could get hold of another one and refit it may solve the problem.
