3DS XL won't read game cards!

I have the link between worlds edition 3ds, not sure if that's important to the story but keep it in mind, I've had problems with. The sensitivity of the game was drastic. Even placing a hand close it would mess up the game and now it won't read game cards anymore, only 3DS Games and that's with problems!!! Please help!!!
