Can't hear phone calls on loud speaker or ear speaker.

My loudspeaker failed on me so I replaced the speaker enclosure. This fixed the loudspeaker issue, but suddenly I can't hear when placing, or receiving a call, either on the ear speaker, the loud speaker or a blue tooth headset. I know the call goes through as I've called my other phones, but as the caller I can't hear anything coming from my cell phone either. I never had an issue in the past, so it's something I did during replacement of the speaker enclosure. I've had many 4Ss apart before, and I went back in on this one to see if I may have done something wrong, but it all looks ok.

Any ideas??

Try resetting your settings for starters

I tried resetting both the network settings and the overall iphone settings; no joy either way. I also removed and reinstalled the sim card. Oddly enough, I get data but no calls... If I damaged the antenna somehow removing it from the speaker enclosure, would that do it??

Well, if you damaged it, you wouldn't be able to send/get sms or get Internet or wifi. Are you able to get any of those?

Yes I'm able to text and surf the Internet via cellular data and via Wi-Fi. That's a good point, my antenna must be OK. Any other ideas.? Up until now this is been a great phone. The phone calls go through and come in there's just dead silence: I can't hear and I can't be heard.

Unplug the lower dock (charging port) then make a phone call and see if the ear speaker works. My suspicion is that the charging doc may be shorted out and has the phone acting like it is plugged into a bay. I've seen this happen a lot.

Gosh, this is weird. Have you tried resetting your cellular data settings?
