Hi,

If you have no WHEA problems when using a mouse, it may be that your touchpad either has a hardware problem or a software problem.

A software problem is usually solved by updating the drivers for the touchpad to the latest version.

Depending on whether you have Win10 or Win8.1 will depend on which drivers you need to install.

If you have Win10 it is easy because there is only one choice -Synaptics.

If you have Win8.1 you need to find out the name of your touchpad manufacturer to know which driver to download, because there are two alternatives -Elantech and Synaptics.

To find out which one you need, you have to go into Device Manager in your laptop.

Press Win key and x key together, ( Win + x), click Control panel, click Device Manager, Device Manager window should open. Scroll down to Mice and other pointing devices, expand tree your touchpad should be listed here. It will either be Elantech or Synaptics.

Using the link provided in your question, enter Aspire ES1 in the Search by product model box, then click on Aspire ES1-111M, (you probably know this already). Select the appropriate OS for your laptop. If Win10 download the Synaptics Touchpad driver and install in your laptop. If you have Win8.1 installed download the appropriate driver (name as found in Device Manager - Elantech or Synaptics) and install in your laptop.

Hopefully this will solve your problem.

If you need to know how to install the drivers please advise.
