Battery does not last as long as it used to
My tablet used to have a battery life of 10-12 hours without needing a recharge. Now I am lucky for it to last for just an afternoon. What might be some possible causes and solutions?

Looks like this is an older tablet, as with any battery powered device the batteries do wear out over time. The battery in this is Lithium Ion technology. Lithium Ion batteries have a limited amount of charge/discharge cycles before they start losing capacity. You might want to look into replacing the battery, I unfortunately couldn't find one with a quick search but here is a guide on how to replace it: Toshiba Excite 7c Battery Replacement

drain the battery then put it in the freezer 8-10 hours.. Place it back in the machine and charge it to full capacity. If that doesn't work, get a new battery.

I know the manufacturer says not to do this but they only want to sell more batteries.
