Why does'nt my washer machine drain completely

My Whirpool washing machine is not draining completely. When the cycle finishes my clothes are still wet and there's some water still left in the tumbler. I'm assuming that something is plugged up besides the pump because I already checked there and its clear. Need to know where else to look for foreign objects falling into. Thank you.
