Why is my Samsung A5 phone not switching on?

Today my phone tragically fell into the sink. But as I got it out as fast as I could and dried it, it was still on and functioned properly. However after 20 mins, the screen became blue and static-y and the phone turned off. I tried turning it on and even plugged a charger in. It didn't respond. As I was fiddling with the phone (trying to get the back to open), the non-responsive phone's screen again became blue and started buzzing with some static. Then it died again.

How do I fix this? This is urgent. :(
