Ipad black screen after screen replacement and power button wont work

Ok, so here is the story. My ipad 2's screen was very cracked so for my birthday my brother got me a new screen, except when he replaced the screen he forgot to turn the power off!! resulting in the screen turning black. also I looked up online the way to fix this without buying a new lcd thing or whatever. The way to fix it was to do a hard reset! AND GUESS WHAT! He managed to rip to cord thingy that made the volume and power button work! PLEASE HELP!!!
