Why does the battery die quickly?
I start the camera and the battery life dies within minutes of powering the camera on.

Your battery might be damaged or dead. Try removing your battery and charging it. Make sure the battery is fully charged before re-inserting it into the camera. If you're still having issues, you might need to replace your battery. Check out this troubleshooting guide for more information.

Be sure to check the contact surface of the battery, and clear away any smudges and debris.
