lumix dmc tz10 will not power up

Hi, having used my lumix dmc tz10 for a couple of years I cannot get the camera to power up. I decided to buy a brand new battery and fully charge as recommended, but still no joy. The camera has not been dropped or used in extreme temperatures ie. Hot or cold temp, have you any ideas? I am willing to strip the camera down as I am quite capable with the mechanical/ electrical side of things. Can you help me please, mick
