My lcd display doesnt work
i have opened the phone to change the whole screen, was working before just cracked, so replaced screen and now nothing! have double checked that the lcd tab is secure and it is what shall i do.

Reset your phone. Hold home and power button for ~10 seconds until the phone restarts. Also try plugging into your computer and seeing what iTunes says.

I would like to know if Alex's advise solve the problem or not. I have same issue, have iPhone 3G with no picture problem. No backlight or anything. I even tried with new screen but won't display anything. The phone is on as it gets deteced by iTunes and vibrates when switched to mute. I made sure with connector and tried home and power button deal, but still nothing.
