Home button does not work, Touch TD works fine

I got stuck with a water damaged iphone 5s and tried to fix it. Before giving the logic board a dip in 100% isopropyl, the touch ID was working and the home button was not. After my efforts, the screen is changed and doesn't change colours anymore but the camera is still black and the touch ID has stopped working as well as the home button.

The touch ID setup works; it does not skip to the failed screen. Instead it keeps on waiting for me to give it a finger impression. It does not register the touch though.

Any tips would be a great help. Cheers.

PS: while changing the housing for another iphone 5s, the home button stopped functioning, and the touch ID is fine for that one too. It worked perfectly before the change so wondering what might have happened. There was no obvious damage done.

What is FL5 component, someone mentioned it in another thread.
