Main App open/close button does not work?

Broke glass. Got replacement but broke display adapter during glass replacement process. Noticed Main App button wasn't responding then.

Bought new display adapt and installed successfully (Iphone works great) except that main app button still does not work. Button feels the same.

Opened case and checked connections 1,2 and 3. Reconnected each. Also looked under button and black tape is there and does not appear to be damaged. Still have problem.
