I think my Silver PS2 Slim has problems with the controller port.

When I try to play Guitar Hero using the wireless controller, I can only select Co-op modes. I've tried this on GH 1, 2, 3, Aerosmith, and Rock the 80s. When I try and play Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, I have to plug in another controller at the press start screen to continue, but later on I just can't make a save. In Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, after every cutscene I have to pause the game a few times to be able to walk. In MGS1 the game freezes in the Codec until I press the Analog button. This is really aggravating because this happens on some games, but not others! The discs I mentioned were kind of scratched, so I cleaned them with toothpaste and took them to be resurfaced. Any idea what's wrong with my PS2? Thanks for reading!
