Nexus 5 loads, then goes black with backlight still on.

So I recently cracked my LCD which meant I had to repair it, so I did. All went well, the boot animation and Google logo both came up. Then right when the phone gets ready to take me home, it goes black, with the backlight still on. I recently noticed it sometimes goes white too. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Also sometimes when accessing the recovery mode and so fourth, the screen appears choppy, like so. Any ideas?
