Adhesive heating prior actually work?
Does heating the adhesive before placing the new digitizer down actually make a difference to strength of the bond it has?
I am confused because doesn't heating it make it easier for it come loose?
No, heating the screen after you lay it down and apply pressure will help. Not necessarily before.
The whole point of heating it at the end is to get the adhesive to loosen up and form a better fitting seal, once it cools, it will be just as strong as before. Assuming you didn't literally melt it with too much heat. We use some wood clamps around the edge of the screen and heat it a few times then let it sit for about a half an hour like that. Although, if you clean the mounting surface enough, and use a strong enough tape, you shouldn't even need to heat it at the end
