1 I don't want to press the Function Key first any more!
I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could help me !!!
In order to change the volume(f10/f11/f12), brightness(f5/f6/f7), access sleep mode (f1),enable/disable WIFI (f2) I have to press the fn button first and I no longer want to do this. I have now spent far too long ... 3 days to be exact trying to deal with this but I haven't been able to find a way. I have read every piece of advice out there and tried everything but nothing seems to work.
What I have done so far ..
Tried to change the setting via BIOS - Impossible - Option not available. Confirmed this by contacting ASUS.
Installed HOTKEYS but didn't manage to get it to work .. read in a forum that remapping the function keys is not possible ?! If you know how to do this do please let me know !

Dd you ever figure this out? I have the same issue. I don't want to press the Fn key for volume or brightness. Seems like it should be such an easy fix...
