Cap gun trigger cylinder feeder plate spring isn't placed right
I have a Toy cap gun hubley colt 45. Like to lern how to fix the cylinder pushplate so the cylinder rotates when you cocked the toy gun

I seem to have fixed mine. I got an assortment of springs from Home Depot by Everbilt. Picked a light-weight compression spring, about 1/2-inch in diameter, and 1/2 inch long, and inserted it between the barrel and the cylinder (with the retractable rod through it). That exerted enough pressure to hold the cylinder against the little lever that pops up when the hammer is pulled back, allowing it to connect with the pegs on the cylinder. If it gets hung up, grease the thing with petroleum jelly.
Not sure what are the “spring & feeder plate” you mentioned.
I think the problem is a rare design flaw by Hubley.

I believe the trigger cylinder feeder plate is that shown in the attached photo with the related spring. Both parts mount on a post at the bottom of the hammer piece. The spring forces the prong end of the plate to the rear end of the cylinder where it engages to index the cylinder position when the trigger or hammer are pulled. There are only a couple of ways the spring can go, so try them both and go with what works.

the cylinder doesn't rotate when the hammer is activated.
yes i have the spring and the feedr plate but not sure how that assembly is attach.

Wow this is an impressive grave post. Almost 2 years and you haven't figured out the mechanics of a cap gun.
I think you might just want to leave it.
I ordered a replacement pusher on eBay. Now I need a replacement trigger. If I could even find a picture of one I’d make my own
