Help with reassembling nano 4th gen

I have successfully fixed a broken clickwheel cable, but am having problems regluing the clickwheel plate to the case. What is an alternative glue? The ribbon cable from the clickwheel won't readily fit back inside the case once reconnected to its white socket. The cable won't push any further into the base of the iPod. I don't want to push too hard in case it breaks. Finally, can the hold switch cable (which was broken) also be replaced? It seems to go to the main PCB without a plug?

Thanks

on the two nanos i disassembled, i simply didn't use any new "glue" - but if i had to - i would use adhesive strips licke the ones for the iPod touch/iPhone.

i know it's tricky - but you can get it together that it would fit - but since you broke the hold switch - i would try to fix that first.

i didn't find any hold switch cables on ebay - so i hope that the original one isn't to damaged.

the cable is soldered on the logicboard - no connectors needed
